Texas National Bank invests $3M in San Juan

The San Juan Economic Development Corporation, along with the city of San Juan, welcomes Texas National Bank’s seventh and newest location to the city of San Juan.

Dozens of people attended the bank’s groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday morning, including San Juan Mayor Pro-Tem Pete Garcia, San Juan Commissioner Ernesto Guajardo, San Juan Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Director Rene Villarreal, and EDC board member Arturo Guajardo Jr., who also serves as Hidalgo County Clerk.

The bank’s board of directors were also present, including CEO and chairman Saul Ortega, Board President Joe Quiroga, and directors Ricardo Perez, Kellye Ortega and Dr. Heriberto Alanis. Texas National Bank CFO David Garza, COO Eddie Leal and EVP-Lender Edna Martinez were also there representing the bank.

Texas National Bank will bring a total investment of about $3 million to the city of San Juan, and it will be located at the northeast corner of Veterans Road and the I-2 Interstate Highway.

“Texas National Bank is a locally-owned bank that will bring much needed services to our residents,” Villarreal said. “I’m happy to welcome them and their investment to the city.”
